WHAT ARE BIRDS
I called a vet today and asked about Mokka’s condition and she prescribed antibiotics just in case she has an infection. Let’s hope this will help her!
I named my female Espurr Vendra and then I kind of just
(work in progress, will be inked and painted)
Pirpana kept pestering Mokka and insisted she absolutely had to feed at the same bowl (when there was another one too) but I think neither of them expected how it would end. I was lucky to get this amazing event on camera.
Bird friends! These new adoreable peeps have been named and it was a lot easier than expected.
The new bird
is Pirpana (= pipsqueak). She is pretty small in size for a finch but nothing else about her is small; she’s super lively and chatty, and very curious, especially about the old finches. Sometimes when I’m talking to her she sits still and appears as if listening intensely. Pirpana seems to be pretty okay with handling and when outside of the cage she will get on my finger when I poke her a bit.
The new new bird
is Mokka (= mocha). She’s a society finch and currently is in a bit of a bad shape due to poor conditions she used to live in. I’m taking care of her to the best of my abilities and she’s already improving. She and Pirpana have started bonding and that will help her heal. Mokka appears very patient and unlike the other three zebras she knows how to use her feet to hold food bits too big for swallowing, so I could argue her being pretty smart.
Last night the new finches slept side by side for the first time. While settling down they also groomed each other a little bit, just to see if it was ok (I didn’t know birds can be awkward too).
I got a little teary eyed :’)
oh my god i’m actually drawing an Actually Serious Art Piece someone call the police
